Job Detail: Linux Systems Administrator

Our client is hiring an on-site Linux Systems Administrator to manage, secure, and maintain its on-premises Linux servers and virtualized infrastructure. The role focuses on Linux administration, virtualization, networking, and infrastructure security, and also includes Windows server support and handling escalated technical issues.

You will lead and contribute to IT projects, improve system reliability, and implement infrastructure solutions. The right candidate has strong technical skills, works independently, and can troubleshoot complex systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Linux environments - Design, implement, and maintain
• Automate system configuration and deployment using Ansible and scripting tools
• Tune operating systems and databases for performance and reliability
• Resolve issues and Troubleshoot
• Work with Site Acceptance Tests and Factory for support system testing
• Work cross-functionally to deliver solutions
• Improve system processes and automation
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements:

• 4+ years of Linux system administration and automation experience (must be hands-on with physical, on-premises servers)
• Experience with Python, Ansible, and shell scripting
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases and enterprise software environments
• Solid problem-solving skills

Role is in northwest Houston, it is a full time, direct hire role. On site 5 days per week.
