Quality Engineer

A wellhead equipment manufacturer with branch operations across Texas and Louisiana is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their Odessa team, supporting their quality system and branch-level operational processes. This is a strong opportunity for someone early-to-mid career in quality to build toward a Quality Manager track.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of the quality system and its integration with other branch locations

• Serve as a company representative on an industry API subcommittee, reviewing proposed standards changes and keeping the organization updated on relevant specification updates

• Participate in audits including branch assessments, internal quality audits, product audits, process audits, and electronic auditing

• Follow up on branch assessment findings and train branch staff as needed

• Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up related to field performance issues and advisory notices

• Help qualify and audit suppliers and support development of purchasing specifications tied to supply chain standards

• Help build out training materials and toolbox talks for branch associates, including exams to verify training effectiveness

• Stay current on industry literature and emerging quality practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience, or 7+ years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination

• Working knowledge of quality systems

• Frac and/or wellhead experience is required

• Experience with measuring/test equipment and dimensional inspection

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Strong computer, language, math, and reasoning skills

• ASQ certifications a plus, not required

No supervisory responsibilities in this role, onsite in the Midland/Odessa, TX area.
