Azure Data Platform Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX, Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Our client, a leader in land surveying, planning and civil engineering, is looking for an Azure Data Platform Engineer to help integrate a wide range of business applications and data sources into a scalable, cloud-focused data platform. This role goes beyond traditional integration work and emphasizes engineering, consolidating, and modernizing both structured and unstructured data using Microsoft Azure. Candidates should bring enthusiasm for application engineering and platform design, with hands-on experience in Microsoft integrations, document management, or data engineering preferred.
In this position, you will play an active, hands-on role in designing, building, and integrating Azure data services across enterprise systems. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to create a unified platform that improves data access, analytics, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and implement Azure-based data architectures
- Develop and manage workflows using Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Integrate and modernize enterprise applications using Azure services and automation tools
- Support data migration, application consolidation, and process automation across business units
- Enhance document management systems with improved metadata, access controls, and versioning practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategy and architecture
- Support data governance efforts, including security, compliance, and retention standards within Azure environments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- More than 3 years of experience with Azure cloud data platforms, data engineering, or integration projects
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Synapse Analytics, and related Azure tools
- Experience with ETL design, data pipelines, and application integration
- Familiarity with Autodesk, Bluebeam, ProjectWise, Ajera, or similar design/engineering platforms is a plus
- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and Azure security
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail
- Bonus: Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, or intelligent automation
This is a great opportunity to help build and scale a modern Azure data platform supporting enterprise analytics and automation. In this role you will work closely with engineers and business leaders driving digital transformation. You will be building scalable Azure data solutions.
Role is in the office (on-site) 5 days per week.
