Senior Developer
Location: Mostly Remote (Company HQ in Houston, TX)

Our client, a leader in their industry, is looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join their mostly remote team. This role is perfect for a seasoned JavaScript developer who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring others, and is eager to lead technical initiatives. You'll work closely with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality applications while helping shape our technology direction and team culture.

What You'll Do

• Lead the end-to-end development of web and desktop applications within a Scrum team.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories and provide accurate time estimates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful software solutions.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure robust and reliable code.
• Perform code reviews and promote adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Mentor junior developers and support their technical growth.
• Manage and monitor environments in Google Cloud Platform.
• Support application deployments across QA and production environments.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives in a fully remote Agile environment.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building JavaScript-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of modern development practices and frameworks.
• Experience with object-oriented programming is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote team setting.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• MongoDB, SQL Server, MySQL
• GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
