Description:
Contract Data Engineer - Oil & Gas Operator (Houston, TX)
Our client, a leading oil and gas operator, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer for a contract position. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the E&P business community to support their data needs.
Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SQL (experience with Snowflake is a plus)
- Strong Python skills, particularly with ETL workflows and REST API integration
- Hands-on experience with Power BI
- Familiarity with Peloton WellView or similar backend systems
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization
- Proactive and assertive in identifying and resolving data-related issues
- Outgoing, with the ability to confidently interact face-to-face with users at all levels
Location & Work Environment:
- Based in downtown Houston
- In-office work required 3 days per week
