Description:
We are seeking a seasoned energy professional to join our client's Strategic Initiatives Team based in Downtown Houston. This role focuses on identifying and leading new business endeavors that align with the company's long-term goals of sustainability, carbon capture, and innovative energy solutions. If you have a passion for driving commercial growth while advancing ESG and sustainability initiatives, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities focused on carbon capture and sustainability, ensuring alignment with long-term corporate goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, regulatory, operations) to integrate new ventures into core business practices.
- Analyze and monitor emerging technologies in sustainability and carbon management to assess potential investments.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies that contribute to both business growth and ESG targets, including overseeing due diligence and technical assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; 10+ years of experience in oil & gas, with strong exposure to sustainability and business development.
- Proven success in leading commercial transactions, including M&A, carbon capture, and ESG initiatives.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams through business transformation and sustainability-focused projects.
- Demonstrated ability to source and negotiate deals, lead cross-functional initiatives, and align projects with ESG and sustainability objectives.
Location: Downtown Houston, with a hybrid work schedule.
Level and Salary: Commensurate with experience.
