Description:
Walker Elliott has partnered with our client to locate a Controller to lead a manufacturing company's financial operations. The person will drive strategic financial management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Also, the role will oversee all finance functions and provide crucial financial insights to top management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership and Reporting --
- Manage all finance functions including payroll, general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, and internal auditing
- Develop and implement financial information reporting systems to track cash flows, earnings, assets, and liabilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for corporate officers and managers
Strategic Financial Management --
- Formulate and administer accounting practices to ensure reliable operational control
- Conduct financial analyses and provide recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement
- Oversee inventory control and reporting procedures to ensure accurate manufacturing costs
Team Leadership and Compliance --
- Supervise and develop all Finance personnel, setting productivity targets and providing training
- Ensure compliance with accounting and payroll policies
- Liaise with independent auditors and taxing authorities
Qualifications:
Education and Certifications --
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (required)
- CPA, CMA, or MBA (highly preferred)
Experience --
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management of a manufacturing operation
- 3+ years managing general accounting functions
- Manufacturing industry experience (Electrical or Electronic products experience is preferred)
Skills --
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
- Expertise in accounting software and ERP systems
