Job Detail: Reserves Engineer

Description:

A growing private equity-backed oil and gas firm is seeking a Reserves Engineer to join its Dallas-based team. The firm focuses on technical evaluation and management of assets in the upstream oil and gas sector. The Reserves Engineer will collaborate across disciplines to support the firm's various funds and non-op properties. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team at a pivotal stage in the firm's growth. Already well over $1B in AUM.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the monthly reserves process, ensuring accurate reports, documentation, and reconciliations, while maintaining the reserves database.

• Update well decline curves regularly, documenting any significant changes, and evaluate key reserves drivers such as CAPEX and LOE.

• Lead the annual audited reserves process, serving as the primary liaison with third-party auditors.

• Create reports and visual presentations for data analysis using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Spotfire.

• Monitor asset performance, drilling reports, and operational updates, providing regular feedback to the team on key developments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically in reserves evaluation.

• Proficient in Aries, Enverus, and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple priorities independently.
