Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Controller in the heart of the oil & gas industry in Uptown Dallas. They are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in upstream E&P accounting to take on a pivotal role in their Accounting group. Key Responsibilities:

• Joint Interest Billing (JIB): Manage and oversee joint interest billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreements.

• Revenue Accounting: Deep understanding of revenue streams, ensuring accurate recognition and reporting.

• Monthly Accruals: Lead the monthly accrual process, ensuring all expenses and revenues are accurately captured.

• Closing Books: Oversee the monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• General Entries: Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 8+ years in accounting, with a strong focus on the upstream oil & gas industry.

• Upstream Expertise: Proven experience in the E&P sector is essential.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CPA: Preferred but not required.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
