Overview:
Join a growing, talented team as a Controls Engineer, where you'll focus on MES to provide business intelligence services, BI software development, and Power BI reporting. You'll work on Controls and Automation projects, supporting both new and existing Control System MES functionalities across multiple facilities. This role offers opportunities for professional development and collaboration with senior engineers and managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Control System, including graphics, scripting, and MES applications.
- Modify or create Microsoft Visual Studio C# applications and work with MES modules and Work Tasks BPM software.
- Manage Microsoft Power BI Report Server and Power BI Power Platform, including data modeling, reports, and dashboards.
- Migrate current reports to Power BI and handle data feeds using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Collaborate with engineers to acquire, clean, and transform data for insightful reporting.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in a Controls & Automation Engineering role within the Consumer Goods, Food & Beverage, Agricultural industry or similar.
- Proficiency in Ladder Logic Programming with Allen Bradley PLCs and advanced HMI Development.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio C#, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, and Excel.
- Strong skills in data modeling, Power BI development, and DAX calculations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with the ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred:
- Experience with MES systems (example: Siemens, GE, Aveva, Infor, and others), .NET, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts, and ETL processes.
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and adaptability to changing requirements.
