Description:
Walker Elliott's team is recruiting for a detail-oriented and experienced Production Accountant to join a dynamic team at smaller public oil and gas company in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production data, ensuring accurate reporting, and collaborating with various departments to support the company’s financial and operational goals. This will be full time position with base, bonus and LTI and they will offer hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Record and report daily, monthly and annual production volumes
- Reconcile production data and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements in TX and LA
- Prepare and submit regulatory fillings to appropriate agencies (TRC)
- Analyze production trends and assist in preparing forecasts and budgets
- Resolve discrepancies and production data and reporting
Requirements:
- Degree
- Upstream oil and gas experience with 3+ yrs. focus in production accounting
- Proficiency in production accounting software (P2 Merrick, ProCount, EU/Oracle)
- Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills
