Job Detail: Data Engineer

Description:

Our client, a technology company with an eye for data, is looking for a Data Engineer. They'd like someone to take data from transaction system, and turn that data into trends and reports for customers.

Responsibilities:

• Work to advance the Data Analytics practice by providing intuitive and insightful reporting based on the company's transactional data repository.

• Use Power BI and other Power Platform tools for customer and internal reporting.

• Build Data Models, Views and Stored Procedures with Microsoft SQL Server tools.

• Perform ETL process to move data to data warehouse for consistent view.

• Monitor the health and performance of all Data Analytics systems.

• Provision required infrastructure to support the maintenance and expansion of all Data Analytics systems.

• Design and implement data pipelines and data models.

• Build out Power BI components such as Dashboards, Power BI Desktop, Datasets, Power Pivot, Power Map, Visualization, Power Query and reports.

• Develop and document best practices.

Requirements:

• Must have 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.

• Strong SQL skills are key.

• Experienced with the Microsoft Power Platform.

• Power BI - dashboards, Power BI desktop, datasets, power pivot, power map, visualization, power query

• Experienced in Data Modeling, Stored Procedures and ETL (SSIS), reporting (SSRS)

• Tools optional: Power BI Application Gateway, Power BI Embedded, PowerShell or Python Automation, SnowFlake, MS Azure Fabric components (Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory)

• AI experience a plus.

This role is hybrid 3/2 on the north side of Houston. No exceptions.
