Description:
Our client, an innovator in commodities trading software, is looking for a Sales Engineer living in UK. This new hire will own the technical side of new sales. The right person will have technical expertise, and a deep knowledge of the commodity trading space.
Our customer is headquartered in Houston, TX. They have a distributed workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Will work with customers to fully understand how their business will utilize and be successful on the software
- Prepare and present customer demonstrations.
- Provide support through technical sales calls, presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts and training.
- Attend tradeshows and speaking engagements.
- Maintain demonstration environment for technical sales calls and tradeshows.
- Build scripts and reports in SQL and Python to demonstrate customer scenarios and outputs.
- Identify and prioritize feature requests and issues for the engineering pipeline.
- Discovery calls, RFPs.
Requirements:
- Experience using Python and SQL to build scripts. Full utilization of the proprietary software once trained.
- CRM experience.
- Must be familiar with commodity trading finance concepts and calculations.
- A strong ability to prioritize and triage urgent and important tasks.
- Passionate and proactive attitude to solve issues and get things done well.
- May need to align to earlier or later North American time zones.
Advantageous skills:
- Background in Finance or financial arena. BA/BS degree or better. ETRM/CTRM experience.
- The client is motivated to hire this person in the UK. US candidates may be considered.
