Description:


Our automation client is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) professional to establish and lead a formal software QA department. The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record in implementing both manual and automated testing approaches and solutions. The testing will encompass Windows-based and Linux-based applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop progress reports to monitor testing advancements.

  • Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on the existing application functionality.

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality testing activities.

  • Report issues and bugs, providing necessary background information to aid the development team(s) in issue resolution or understanding.

  • Collaborate with development teams, support teams, and end users to reproduce, detail, and document reported defects and escalate them through appropriate channels.

  • Ensure traceability from business requirements and technical specifications to test conditions and defect reports.

  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

  • Review processes to ensure alignment with current industry trends.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another STEM degree.

  • Over 2 years of professional experience in quality assurance.

  • Familiarity with methods and tools for conducting functional, regression, performance, integration, scalability, and stress testing.

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

  • Proficiency in databases and Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Highly organized with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Must have experience scripting in C++, C#, or Python.

  • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Git version control is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
