Description:
We are seeking a skilled Production Accounting Analyst to join our E&P client in Houston. This will be a contract position that could convert full time in 2024. They offer a flexible 9/80 work schedule along with the option for hybrid remote work, reflecting their commitment to a balanced work-life approach
Responsibilities:
- Monitor incoming production data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Prepare monthly volumes accrual for Revenue Accounting, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Reconcile run ticket data with information from oil purchasers, making necessary corrections.
- Manage the month-end production accounting close process, maintaining data accuracy.
- Analyze and explain production variances, providing insights for informed decision-making
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data and reporting.
- Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- 2 years of industry experience in oil and gas Production Accounting.
