Job Detail: Field Service Engineer

Description:

Our client is an industry leader in manufacturing and servicing excitation products. We have partnered with them to locate an Application Engineer to support their customers for Power Systems Group products. Motivate Sales Representatives with training, conduct product presentations and seminars for customers, and participate in industry functions. Assist in product planning and marketing programs. Provide application-engineering support to customers and Power Systems Group Personnel as necessary. Provide input on new products including performance testing and technical and marketing literature. Take lead responsibility for any and all published application engineering support that cannot be handled by the application specialist, regional application engineer, or design engineer.

This position can work from a remote home office. A person residing in the Central United States would be ideal as this position supports all of North America, however other locations may be acceptable. This position requires up to 50% travel.  Candidates must have previous experience with gensets and/or control systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related.

• 5+ years experience as regional application engineer or fifteen (15) years experience in a related field.

• Experience serving the Power Generation, Paralleling Switchgear, Utility T&D or Industrial Power  markets is also a plus.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% in to the assigned territory.
