What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintain Field Data Gathering database, ensuring the accuracy of incoming production data and resolving data issues with field personnel.
- Prepare weekly production reports for senior management and financial accounting.
- Reconcile run ticket data with information from oil purchasers and make necessary corrections.
- Manage month-end production accounting close, guaranteeing the accuracy of data.
- Analyze and explain production variances, providing insights and recommendations.
- Prepare regulatory filings and meet the deadlines set by each state's regulatory body.
- Collaborate with accounting and royalty departments, delivering monthly production data promptly.
- Assist with scanning and filing of production and regulatory reports.
- Support well operations, audits, and accounting obligations as needed.
About You:
- Be able to do the job as described.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Energy related field, or equivalent experience in upstream oil and gas.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Procount, Carte, FDG, ShipX software is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
