Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our support staff as Technical Support Specialists. In this role, you will provide technical support for our products, focusing on remote data collection for measurement and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. We value teamwork and creativity, providing a structured team environment that encourages independent thinking.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for our products based on industry needs and customer feedback.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to standard networks and communication practices.
  • Learn and then utilize knowledge of Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) protocols and capabilities for Electronic Flow Meter (EFM), controls, and data retrieval.
  • Assist with technical support for cellular, satellite, and radio communications, as well as data transfer.
  • After learning, deliver internal training sessions, including theoretical classroom instruction and hands-on practicum, to enhance the team's skills.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required. However, relevant experience in communications and data transfer will also be considered.
  • Aptitude to learn Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) protocols and capabilities for Electronic Flow Meter (EFM), controls, and data retrieval.
  • Aptitude for learning technical support, cellular, satellite, and radio communications, and data transfer.
  • Ability to get up to speed building and conducting internal training sessions, encompassing both theory and practical application.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Availability for after-hour call support as required.
