Job Detail: Cost Accountant

Walker Elliott is working on an outstanding opportunity! Stable client, wonderful culture, benefits, and bonus potential. Our long-term client is adding an accountant to their team located in Arlington, Texas.

The ideal candidate will have some previous Cost Accounting experience OR accounting from a manufacturing or Plant operation.

This role is an outstanding opportunity for a junior/staff level accountant to grow and increase their skill set and exposure. In this role you will gain advanced Cost accounting as well as gain new skills in  standard, average, and project cost accounting systems.

Ideal Experience includes:

• Degree in Accounting

• 1-2+ years in accounting in a manufacturing or Plant facility

• Ideally 1+ years in Cost Accounting or strong knowledge of Cost

• ERP experience—preference for Glovia

• Must be a US Citizen for this role due to contractual and legal obligations with Government regulations.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Cost accounting

• Production work order control, inventory, Variance

• Accounting lead on physical inventory, resolving issues, reconciliations for monthly and annual inventory.

• Establish Standard and Average Costs

• Analysis of actual manufacturing costs

This position requires US Citizenship due to contractual and government regulations and requirements.
