Gas Balancing Accountant/Analyst

In this role you will be responsible for managing and calculating wellhead natural gas balancing for operated and non-operated wells, providing timely and accurate balancing information.

The Gas Balancing Accounting Analyst is responsibilities include:

• Perform all actions required for well head natural gas balancing on operated and non-operated properties

• Create, update and control the content of all operated and non-operated gas balancing from first sales in coordination with the gathering pipelines data
• Work closely with Revenue accounting to assure timely and accurate balancing is managed as part of a team effort to establish a structured balancing policy
• Research make-up options for both over and under produced wells (operated and non-operated) and evaluate pricing in order to make recommendations of balancing options
• Maintain and analyze historical pricing and production
• Compile and manage reporting for area of responsibility to support operations, revenue and engineering requirements.
• Generate trending and analysis reports

Requirements include:

• 5+ years in Gas Balancing analysis or accounting
• BA or BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or related discipline preferred
• SQL expertise is also desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
