Description:
Walker Elliott is working with a growing SaaS firm, who is looking for a Security Engineer. This role is Blue team oriented. The key skills for this role are Incident Response, scripting, security engineering, and DevOps. In this role, the Security Engineer will solve challenges regarding security incidents, developing and documenting incident management procedures, and investigating security vulnerabilities.
The role is direct hire and fully remote from TX, FL, GA, OR, NC or CA.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and document processes and procedures.
- Review, investigate, run forensics and repair issues.
- Develop solutions to minimize issues.
- Threat hunt and threat intelligence.
- Develop reports and presentations for audiences as needed.
- Know the compliance and cyber best practices.
- Work with clients to explain client products for protection as needed.
- Develop automation for security capabilities, visibility and reporting.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in STEM or similar.
- Must have at least 5 years working in Security Operations Center.
- Must have extensive Incident Response experience.
- Must have strong scripting skills.
- Must be very aware of tactics, techniques and procedure to protect and defend against the threat landscape.
- Must know the cloud – AWS, GCP, Azure, plus.
- Security certifications advantageous.
- Understand APIs and how to develop automation using API functionality.
- Must be expert in Windows and Linux.
- Must know network protocols.
- Must know Network defense including ACLs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus and web filtering.
