Data Analyst/Data Engineer
Walker Elliott is working on a ground floor opportunity with a well-established client. This company has been in business for over 25 years and is building a strong IT footprint in the DFW area. They are looking for a Data Engineer/Data analyst who is ready to grow their technical skills and who is passionate about delving into the data that drives business decisions.
In this role you will be involved in a data transformation for this firm.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the creation and use of data into key analytics that will drive growth for the firm.
- Evaluate the existing data analytics platform and transform the data from the legacy platforms into new applications.
- Advise on New applications, new pipelines, and new platforms for data analytics.
- Work with the executive teams in building data rich applications
- Establish data warehouses, data lakes and the cloud—and data modeling.
Qualifications include:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent working experience
- Strong SQL fluency (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Experience in integration of Data from API sources
- Tableau or other reporting tools
- Business Analysis
- Data-modeling
- Excellent verbal and written communication
Plusses include:
- Matillion ETL, Snowflake Cloud DW—will train
