Sr. Application Support Analyst

Walker Elliott is working with a well-established service industry client that is looking for a strong Software Support Analyst for a critical role in their IT group. It's an exciting growth opportunity with advancement to Lead/Supervisory roles.  The ideal candidate will have experience in a Software/Applications Support role and will have experience in digging into user issues, tier 1 to tier 3, by working on tickets specifically about applications (not help desk).

In addition, this person will have excellent people skills while also being able to handle users applications issues technically, researching new product solutions and crafting best practice policy.

Requirements include:

  • 5+ years of application and 3rd party software support (ex: timekeeping, payroll, logistics, scheduling, etc...)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experienced in installing, configuring and supporting applications
  • Integration of software
  • Implementation and upgrades for new or existing software
  • Degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities include:

  • Support of Corporate and Field business applications
  • Software troubleshooting and administration
  • Process analysis and change management
  • Resolve user issues
  • Create reports and write/modify SQL queries to query the data
  • Work with users on how to use applications, increasing functionality and helping them resolve issues
  • Provide documentation, including application configuration, installation, client infrastructure
  • Inform and educate technical team members
  • Build relationships with third party vendors
  • Analyze and implement best practices
  • Liaison with vendors, business stakeholders and software end users for new product roadmaps and new solutions
